The Sr. Operations Specialist at REI Co-op plays a crucial role in guiding the store towards operational excellence. This administrative position is likened to a 'Swiss Army Knife,' where the individual is responsible for various tasks that enhance outdoor experiences for customers. The role involves supporting the management team, conducting daily office duties, and promoting the REI brand and culture.

Responsibilities

• Work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
• Review and reconcile operational business expenses.
• Mentor and support operations and sales staff as needed.
• Manage office supply inventory within assigned budget.
• Assist with hiring, process HR documentation, and maintain store files.
• Coordinate the Safety Committee, Product Quality issues, and Loss Prevention standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience in a retail or office environment (preferred).
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships inside and outside the organization.
