About the position
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, ensuring accuracy in shipments, and maintaining a safe work environment. This role involves training and motivating employees, implementing solutions to operational challenges, and performing basic supervisory tasks while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform warehouse worker duties as required.
- Check for accuracy of shipments.
- Ensure efficient use of equipment and personnel to accomplish assigned work.
- Demonstrate ability to train and motivate employees.
- Recommend and implement solutions to problems.
- Perform basic supervisory tasks including administrative functions and ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Responsible for performing all job duties with honesty and integrity.
Requirements
- Must possess a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Possess strong general knowledge of all warehousing and logistics.
- Ability to create relations with internal customers through effective communications.
- Advanced computer skills to navigate warehouse management & data input.
- Manhattan WMS experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret computerized reports.
- Ability to supervise and work with and through others to achieve desired results.
- Professional and respectful of self and others including cross functional departments.
- Mental alertness is necessary to ensure safe and accurate completion of work activities.
- Ability to constantly stand, bend, twist, squat, kneel with or without reasonable accommodation required.
