Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, high-availability networking infrastructure.
- Optimize performance of core network components, APIs, and data pipelines.
- Automate infrastructure management using IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Proactively identify and resolve performance/reliability issues.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortems.
- Participate in on-call rotations and improve incident workflows.
- Enforce security best practices (encryption, access control, audits).
- Stay updated on emerging threats and mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure scalable, reliable service design.
- Promote SRE best practices (automation, CI/CD, proactive monitoring).
- Document systems/processes and mentor team members on SRE principles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 2 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps or similar role.
- Professional experience with any other technologies that the project may require, fx: Java, Shell, GoLang, Python, Rust, Protbuf, etc.
- Professional experience with Nginx, HAProxy, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar technologies.
- Know your way around Linux and Unix Shell.
- Comfort and familiarity with the code review process.
- Comfort working in a highly agile, intensely fast pace engineering organization.
- An inclination towards communication, inclusion, and visibility.
- Positive and solution-oriented mindset.
Benefits
- Annual compensation: $80,000 - $150,000
