About the position

The Premium Auditor position at Sedgwick involves working as a 1099 contractor to conduct premium audits for various types of insurance, including workers' compensation and general liability. Auditors are expected to provide quality and timely audits while adhering to state regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality and timely premium audits and quality reviews.
  • Conduct physical audits for complex or large accounts, test audit states, new businesses, or businesses undergoing changes.
  • Perform virtual audits for cases where electronic records are preferred.
  • Execute telephone audits for smaller or less complex policies with a consistent history of audited exposure.
  • Complete voluntary audits for small policies with few employees and straightforward operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years' experience within the premium audit industry.
  • Knowledge of all lines of coverage including Worker's Compensation, General Liability, Auto, and Garage for all states.
  • Ability to organize, manage, and travel a reasonable territory (typically within a 60-mile radius).
  • Ability to work a flexible, on-demand schedule, including availability during regular business hours.

Nice-to-haves

  • Industry designation such as APA, CIPA, or CPCU.
  • WCIRB CompEssentials certification.
  • Any other relevant licenses and/or certifications.
