About the position

The Franklin Township Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and qualified Leave Replacement Special Education Elementary Teacher for the Autism program at Claremont Elementary School for the 2024-2025 school year. This position is essential in providing specialized instruction and support to students with autism, ensuring they receive a high-quality education tailored to their unique needs. The teacher will work closely with students, parents, and other educational professionals to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. The role requires a commitment to fostering the academic, social, and emotional development of students with disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) that align with each student's specific goals and objectives. This includes adapting curriculum materials, utilizing instructional technology effectively, and employing various teaching strategies to engage students in meaningful learning experiences. The teacher will also monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's development and achievements. In addition to instructional responsibilities, the teacher will collaborate with other staff members, including special education coordinators, therapists, and general education teachers, to ensure a cohesive approach to education for students with disabilities.
