About The Position

The Paraprofessional I position at Wonder Years - Adah Fulbright is responsible for providing support to the instructional program within an assigned classroom. Requirements

• Sixty (60) college hours completed.
• Job-related experience is preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain Missouri Substitute Teaching Certificate.
• Must pass a Criminal Background Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Adapt and administer classroom activities and assignments under the direction of the supervising teacher.
• Assist students, individually and in small groups, with lesson assignments and reinforce learning concepts.
• Attend meetings, workshops, and training sessions to receive and convey information relevant to job functions.
• Communicate with teachers regarding student progress and assist in evaluating progress.
• Implement interventions under the supervision of the assigned teacher to reinforce learning concepts.
• Maintain manual and electronic files and records to meet mandated requirements.
• Monitor individual and groups of students to ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
• Perform general clerical functions to support the instructional program.
• Report health and safety issues to appropriate personnel to maintain student safety.
• Respond to emergency situations to resolve immediate safety concerns.
