Responsibilities

  • Use Hitachi Energy Network Manager Energy Management System (EMS) to perform Power System analysis such as running State Estimator analysis, Load Flow Analysis, and Contingency Analysis.
  • Provide technical knowledge, experience, and support in EMS (Energy Management Systems) to the Hitachi Energy Professional Services Organization (PSO).
  • Prepare, setup, and configure Hitachi Energy Network Manager EMS from scratch.
  • Gather data required by Hitachi Energy Network Manager EMS.
  • Configure and deploy Hitachi Energy EMS applications (e.g., power flow, state estimator, contingency analysis) based on customer-specific requirements and use cases.
  • Develop tailored software modifications, such as customizations and enhancements, to Hitachi Energy Network Manager EMS baseline solution to meet specific customer requirements.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues related to the Network Manager EMS platforms.
  • Work on customer-oriented projects to deliver Hitachi Energy Network Manager EMS and ensure successful system operation in live production environments.
  • Implement Hitachi Energy Network Manager EMS and participate in project delivery.
  • Work with customers, manage and maintain customer relationships.
  • Assist in the preparation of sales presentations and proposals.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, specifically focusing on Power Systems.
  • Strong understanding of power system basics, such as State Estimator, Power Flow Studies, and Contingency Analysis.
  • Basic software programming knowledge and a willingness to learn more about software programming.
  • A can-do attitude and a willingness to find solutions to every challenge.
  • Ability to work across cultures.
  • Effective team player.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
