About the position

The Facilities Project Specialist is responsible for planning, designing, and estimating costs for industrial facilities across Alaska. This role involves managing projects from the conceptual phase through design, procurement, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and turnover, ensuring alignment with company policies and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform full cycle scoping, preliminary design, cost estimating, economic analysis, and evaluation of production facilities.
  • Obtain bids and coordinate equipment and personnel for field operations.
  • Demonstrate effective people skills to interact with partners, service providers, peers, and field personnel.
  • Solicit ideas from all project stakeholders to maintain efficiency and ownership.
  • Supervise and approve facility modifications, installation, decommissioning, and related work while monitoring costs.
  • Engage and manage outside facilities engineering support as needed.
  • Support operations staff in evaluating and optimizing existing equipment.
  • Assist marketing, engineering, and operations staff in various tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience with oil and gas facility project management in the upstream industry, including front-end engineering, design, and estimating.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an integrated team of operations, engineering, and construction personnel.
  • Experience in cost estimating, budgeting, scheduling, planning, site safety, and contracting.
  • Experience with low/high pressure gas, oil, CO2, H2S, water, and sand production.
  • Ability to read and create block flow diagrams, P&IDs, data sheets, and specifications.
  • Strong team leadership skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and industry regulations for oil and gas facilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Alaska North Slope experience preferred.
