This position is responsible for properly packing and scaling bacon, monitoring scale tare for correct setting and keeping the area clean. In a downgrade position, inspect bacon slices to meet specific standards for various orders as set by leadership. Scale bacon to exact weight or tolerance set by leadership. Responsibilities

  • Sets up and maintains scales.
  • Open/Closes production orders in SAP catch weight application.
  • Positions product on scale and weighs.
  • Verify correct box label to SKU as per specification.
  • Marks weight on box or applies scale to carton.
  • Packs product in carton.
  • Document pallet HU's and Tare weights.
  • Makes and labels boxes whenever possible.
  • Verify production date per specification.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), preferred.
  • Willingness to add to knowledge base and skillset.
  • Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team-oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
