About The Position

The Electronics Maintenance Technician is responsible for building and testing electronic and electrical systems and components to ensure their operability. This role involves performing various maintenance activities, troubleshooting malfunctioning circuits, and repairing machinery and equipment. The technician will also be involved in the installation of new equipment and general maintenance tasks, while adhering to safety regulations and promoting efficient operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-year technical degree required.
  • PLC programming experience required.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge and use of hand tools.
  • Sound decision-making skills.
  • Good math, reading, and writing skills.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning circuits and wiring.
  • Utilize testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, voltmeters, ammeters, and watt meters.
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning machinery and equipment.
  • Install and activate new equipment.
  • Perform general maintenance activities involving hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, steam, and electrical systems.
  • Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures.
  • Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices.
  • Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately.
  • Prevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating equipment efficiently.
  • Maintain production schedules.
  • Collaborate with teams to initiate and implement programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.
