About the position

T. Marzetti Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lancaster Colony Corporation, is looking to hire a Maintenance Tech II at the Sister Schubert's Horse Cave Campus. This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the plant's machinery, grounds, buildings, and equipment. The starting wage for this role ranges from $31.04 to $35.73 based on experience level. The company emphasizes a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork, and is committed to operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain highest standard of Safety for all functions and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
• Perform daily inspection of all PPE and power equipment.
• Acquire and maintain Lock Out-Tag Out Certification for machines.
• Lead and promote a strong Food Safety Culture within the facility.
• Ensure compliance with quality, Food Safety Preventive Control, FSMA, and other support programs.
• Evaluate and identify potential problems, repairs, and maintain electrical/mechanical machinery and equipment.
• Perform necessary repairs and maintenance to buildings and grounds.
• Complete preventative maintenance as assigned and document as required.
• TIG welding with mild steel and/or stainless steel.
• Participate in department/shift/team meetings and improvement projects.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude and accurate troubleshooting ability, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Must obtain industrial truck and lift operating certification.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment operation and good math skills.
• Ability to read and interpret written and verbal directions.
• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required; Industrial Maintenance Degree preferred.
