About the position

The Customer Experience Coordinator at Marshalls is responsible for promoting an excellent customer experience by overseeing a team of Associates at the front of the store. This role involves ensuring prompt and courteous customer service, engaging with customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The Coordinator leads by example, trains and mentors Associates, and addresses customer concerns to foster a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a positive internal and external customer experience.
  • Oversee a team of Associates at the front of the store to ensure prompt and courteous customer service.
  • Engage and interact with customers to model outstanding customer service.
  • Train and mentor Associates on front end principles and personalizing the customer experience.
  • Assign registers and coordinate breaks for Associates while supporting POS coverage needs.
  • Address customer concerns and issues promptly to ensure a positive experience.
  • Ensure Associates execute tasks according to store plans and prioritize as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with management and Associates regarding priorities and progress updates.
  • Provide recognition and constructive feedback to Associates.
  • Partner with management on Associate training needs to enhance effectiveness.
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote credit and loyalty programs and support store shrink reduction goals.
  • Maintain a safe environment and promote safety awareness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong understanding of merchandising techniques.
  • Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Team player who works effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Ability to train others in customer service and store operations.
  • 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.
