Job Purpose: The 737 Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the execution of scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance and modification functions on 737 aircraft. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, give direction, and coordinate activities within the operation.
  • Maintains overall responsibility for the quality, efficiency, and timeliness of work of department.
  • Ensure all assigned personnel are adequately and properly trained for their duties and responsibilities.
  • Ensure adherence to Repair Station Quality Control Manual (RSQCM), General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and applicable policies/procedures.
  • Train and assist subordinates in the proper work procedures and best practices to be followed.
  • Manage, coach, and develop staff members by communicating performance expectations and providing on-going feedback regarding results in the context of the expectations.
  • Make recommendations about employee recognition, hiring, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
  • Communicate with staff and others about decisions affecting teamwork, process, resources, and other responsibilities.
  • Identify and analyze new procedures to improve efficiency of operations. Make recommendations to defense leadership for implementation of any proposed process changes.
  • Ensure that all necessary documentation on maintenance forms and work orders are properly executed by the responsible technicians.
  • Ensures and enforces proper execution of parts tag instructions in accordance with RSQCM.
  • Ensure that the maintenance of the department premises is kept in a clear and orderly manner.
  • Collaborate with management, engineering, quality control, and customers to coordinate work activities to identify and review resource needs for projects.
  • Assist in estimate development for requested scopes of work.
  • Monitor overall operational safety.
  • Has flexibility to arrive early and stay late as needed.
  • Provide Maintenance Operations Manager detailed status report daily for progress made on shift. Report to include open issues, request, and work performed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Valid A&P certificate
  • IA Preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Experience with 737 aircraft is required
  • Strong Leadership Skills
  • Previous aircraft maintenance leadership experience required
  • Proficiency in MSOffice products
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
