About the position
The Customer Experience Host at the Express is responsible for assisting customers in finding products, ensuring the store is well-stocked, and providing an exceptional shopping experience. This role emphasizes customer service, product knowledge, and maintaining a welcoming environment to encourage repeat business.
Responsibilities
- Greet every customer with eye contact and a smile.
- Manage multiple self-checkout registers while ensuring outstanding customer experience.
- Acknowledge waiting customers promptly to inform them of assistance.
- Listen to customer needs and ask follow-up questions to provide suitable product recommendations.
- Ensure customers have an extraordinary shopping experience.
- Complete transactions accurately and efficiently while engaging customers in conversation.
Requirements
- Completion of high school or equivalent education.
- Retail experience is required.
- Demonstrated willingness and potential for additional responsibility.
- Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
- Ability to think quickly to answer customer questions.
- Initiative and brand knowledge are essential.
- Excellent attention to detail is required.
- Willingness to cross-train and work in other areas of the store as needed.
- Must possess a welcoming and helpful attitude toward customers and team members.
- Excellent communication skills are necessary.
- Basic computer skills are required.
