About the position

This role is designed for candidates with 3-20 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense. The position emphasizes handling third-party litigation, first-party claims, and law and motion, requiring strong writing and research skills. The work environment is hybrid, allowing for both in-office and virtual work, with a focus on a manageable case load and ample support staff.

Responsibilities

• Handle third-party litigation and first-party claims.
• Conduct legal research and prepare law and motion documents.
• Participate in trials, preferably with prior jury trial experience.
• Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Utilize technology and software for case management and documentation.

Requirements

• Active license to practice law in California and a member in good standing with the state bar.
• 3-20 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense.
• Experience handling first and third-party claims.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Familiarity with local and state discovery rules and trial procedures.
• Experience working in a paperless environment.
• Strong automation and technical skills.
• Proficiency in Word, Outlook, and Lexis.
