The Oregon Youth Authority (OYA) is seeking a full-time Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to join the Eastern Oregon Youth Correctional Facility in Burns, Oregon. This position is dedicated to providing comprehensive mental and behavioral health treatment and services to youth in a correctional setting. As a QMHP, you will collaborate with a diverse team of professionals, including psychiatrists, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners (PMHNPs), and psychologists, to create a supportive treatment environment within the assigned living unit. Your primary goal will be to foster a dynamic atmosphere that promotes the growth and development of youth, encouraging them to take responsibility, adopt healthy habits, lead productive lifestyles, and engage in socially acceptable behavior. In this role, you will work closely with the Living Unit Manager (LUM) and the unit Case Coordinator (CC) to provide strong leadership within your assigned living unit. You will implement and sustain evidence-based interventions within a group living setting, ensuring that the treatment provided is effective and tailored to the needs of the youth. The starting salary for this position ranges from $68,964 to $79,620 annually, based on qualifications and experience, with the potential for annual increases until the maximum salary range is reached. Upon eligibility for the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), employees will receive a 6.95% increase to their base salary and will contribute 6% to PERS.
