About the position

Advanced Air, LLC is seeking a part-time Customer Service Agent to join our team in Las Cruces, New Mexico. This role is pivotal in providing exceptional customer service to our passengers and potential guests. As a Customer Service Agent, you will be responsible for handling inquiries, reservations, ticketing, passenger check-in, baggage check-in, and aircraft preparation. You will be the face of Advanced Airlines, ensuring that every customer interaction is friendly, courteous, and professional. Your primary goal will be to enhance the customer experience while adhering to our company policies and FAA regulations. In this position, you will greet customers and assist them with all aspects of their travel experience, including reservations, ticketing, and boarding. You will communicate any flight delays or cancellations and work diligently to re-accommodate passengers. Providing accurate information regarding fares, schedules, and gate changes will be essential. You will also assist with check-in processes, ticket changes, and special service requests, ensuring that all passengers are well taken care of. Additionally, you will oversee the preparation of aircraft for flight, which includes stocking food and beverages and performing light cleaning duties. Maintaining the Advanced Airlines brand standards and ensuring a consistent ground experience for our passengers is crucial. You will be expected to identify opportunities for improving customer satisfaction and maintain positive relations at all times. This role requires a commitment to safety and security, as you will enforce regulations and protect sensitive areas as needed. You will also be required to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving luggage, and may need to work in various weather conditions. This position is part-time, with a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. You will be expected to work efficiently under time constraints and may need to travel for training or to cover other stations as required. Responsibilities

  • Greet and provide outstanding service to all AA customers and guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Handle all aspects of reservations, ticketing, check-in, seat assignment, passenger boarding, and baggage service.
  • Communicate to customers when a flight has been delayed or canceled and work to re-accommodate them according to company policy.
  • Provide current and accurate fare, schedule, gate, flight arrival, and departure information, as well as answer general inquiries.
  • Provide check-in assistance, ticketing changes, re-booking of itineraries, and special service requests for passengers.
  • Board/deplane flights and escort passengers to and from aircraft in a timely and efficient manner, and assist passengers as needed.
  • Ensure aircraft are prepared for flight, including food and beverage stocking and light cleaning.
  • Oversee passenger unloading of firearms in accordance with training, policy, and TSA where required.
  • Maintain AA brand standards and consistency in the ground experience.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer experience and increase satisfaction.
  • Maintain positive customer relations at all times by using good judgment and the ability to multi-task.
  • Ensure FAA, Airline, and Airport regulations are followed at all times.
  • Enforce safety/security measures and protect sensitive zones.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to push/pull/lift 50 lbs. for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work efficiently under time constraints
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must have authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Must have valid Driver's license and clean driving record
  • Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Positive attitude and winning personality
  • Passion for people and delivering top-notch service
  • Excellent time management skills
  • May be required to obtain a Secured Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge for certain airports
  • Will be required to meet all local airport and TSA requirements
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime, as needed
  • Pass FAA Drug and Alcohol testing, background checks and submit to random drug test when required
