About the position
As a Delivery Driver at Airgas, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers. The role requires a valid TX Class A or B Commercial Driver's License, along with Hazmat and Airbrake certifications. You will also need to demonstrate a clean driving record and possess the ability to lift heavy loads, as well as work independently under pressure to meet deadlines. Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers.
- Load and unload gas cylinders and supplies from the delivery truck.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain courteous and professional relationships with customers during deliveries.
- Make timely deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, including drug and alcohol testing requirements.
Requirements
- Valid TX Class A or B Commercial Driver's License.
- Valid Medical Examiner's Card.
- Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications.
- One (1) year of prior Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five (5) years.
- Clean driving record with no more than two (2) convictions or two (2) at-fault accidents in the last three years.
- Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.
- Ability to routinely lift 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.
- Must be at least 21 years or older.
