About the position
TEKsystems, in support of our client in the public sector, is looking to fill a Desktop Support position in Frankfort, KY. This position will be an onsite role, working directly with customers, as required. We are looking for a very knowledgeable, experienced tech with excellent customer service skills. The candidate needs to be experienced in desktop support: installation, troubleshooting, and repair/replace, in a primarily windows based environment, with apple mobile product support experience a bonus. The candidate also needs to have basic network troubleshooting skills. This position will join a team of several other full time techs that support multiple state agencies housed in a few Frankfort locations. A strong benefits package is included. This is NOT a temporary assignment.
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite desktop support to customers in Frankfort, KY.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair/replace desktop systems in a Windows-based environment.
- Support Apple mobile products as needed.
- Perform basic network troubleshooting as required.
- Collaborate with a team of full-time technicians to support multiple state agencies.
Requirements
- Experience in desktop support, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair/replace.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems, particularly Windows 10.
- Familiarity with Office 365 and Outlook.
- Basic network troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and communication abilities.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Apple mobile products.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
