We are hiring a Director of Culture and Communications who will be responsible for developing and executing internal and executive communications and employee engagement strategies to inform, inspire and motivate our workforce. This position drives the culture function and requires excellent writing, creative, and analytical skills. The successful candidate will approach work with an owner mentality, navigate between strategy and execution, and thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Attention to detail and extraordinary organizational skills are essential. In this role, you will develop key messages, all-employee communications, executive communications, digital content, and internal storytelling content. You will produce high-quality written content that is edgy, crisp, and appropriate for the intended audience. Additionally, you will organize, project manage, and execute on the production of company-wide internal communications, conceptualizing and executing content creation from start to finish. You will work closely with our senior leadership team to provide strategic communications aligned with our business priorities and manage the Employee Wellness initiatives that cover physical, mental, emotional, and financial health. This position also involves taking a leadership role in community partnerships and giving initiatives, including our employee volunteering programs, and actively participating in developing, supporting, and executing culture initiatives with a heavy emphasis on inclusion, diversity, reward, and recognition.

Responsibilities

  • Develop key messages, all-employee communications, executive communications, digital content and internal storytelling content.
  • Produce high-quality written content that is edgy, crisp and appropriate for the intended audience.
  • Organize, project manage and execute on the production of company-wide internal communications.
  • Conceptualize and execute content creation from start to finish.
  • Put content through its respective approval processes and ensure it is returned in a timely manner.
  • Work with a number of internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of our brands, products, industry and company history.
  • Work closely with our senior leadership team to provide strategic communications aligned with our business priorities.
  • Provide weekly reporting and analytics to better understand our impact.
  • Take a leadership role in community partnerships and giving initiatives, including our employee volunteering programs.
  • Manage the Employee Wellness initiatives that cover physical, mental, emotional and financial health.
  • Actively participate in developing, supporting and executing each and every culture initiative from concept to execution.

Requirements

  • Exceptional all-around communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience crafting and producing non-written forms of communication such as graphic design and video.
  • Ability to collaborate with others, sharing information and resources accurately and timely.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and tell the story behind the numbers.
  • Understanding of basic business concepts, including top and bottom-line results.
  • Ability to research and understand complex ideas and write about them intelligently for different audiences.
  • Experience in ghostwriting and conveying the voices of various executives.
  • Hands-on experience with a Content Management System.
  • Strong reasoning and process flow skills to drive solutions to problems.
  • Ability to maintain composure and sense of humor in high-pressure situations.
  • Proven experience in editing and writing for corporate audiences.
  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or similar field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of work experience in a similar role required.
