About the position

The Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP) at Amazon is designed to develop high-potential MBA candidates within the Finance organization. Participants are placed in one of six leading business areas and are expected to grow into Finance Managers, serving as key finance partners to business teams. The role involves building financial models, conducting analyses, and making recommendations that drive improvements and have a global impact. FLDP interns will work on critical business problems, collaborate cross-functionally, and engage with senior management, culminating in a presentation of their deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a critical business problem and help find the right solutions for our customers.
  • Work cross-functionally to drive ideas from conception to execution.
  • Deep dive into Amazon data.
  • Manage financial statements for a product or business area, controllership of financials, and investigate anomalies.
  • Extract data from Amazon systems, conduct advanced statistical analysis, and evaluate key performance indicators.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an MBA or master's degree program focused on human resources or related field with a graduation conferral date between December 1, 2025 and September 30, 2026.
  • 3+ years of relevant full-time industry or military experience prior to starting your MBA or master's program.
  • Basic knowledge of finance, accounting, business or related field focused on analytics.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in finance or a related analytical field.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
  • Curiosity to dig several layers deep into metrics and understand key drivers.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage multiple projects.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
