General Motors is seeking a Human Resources (HR) and Labor Relations (LR) professional to serve as the HRLR Site Lead at our Charlotte Customer Care & Aftersales (CCA) site in North Carolina. This role is pivotal in delivering HR and LR services to a workforce of approximately 125 employees. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing daily support on HR and LR activities while also offering leadership and direction that aligns with General Motors' mission, culture, and objectives. The HRLR Site Lead will work strategically with functional business leaders to enhance working relationships, boost employee engagement, and attract and retain top talent. Additionally, the role includes responsibilities related to site safety activities, making it an excellent opportunity for someone eager to make a significant impact within the organization. In this position, you will partner closely with the Plant Manager to drive GM culture, promote positive employee experiences, and improve overall employee engagement. You will be tasked with fostering a positive working relationship with the union through the consistent application of local and national agreements, negotiating and implementing these agreements, and ensuring adherence to grievance procedures. As the HR leader for the site, you will oversee talent planning, performance management, compensation planning, recruiting, and selection processes. Compliance with company policies and support for investigations of employee concerns will also fall under your purview. Your role will involve facilitating training on HR policies and procedures, championing workplace safety initiatives, and supporting the implementation of the Global Manufacturing System (GMS). You will also be responsible for cascading company-wide communications regarding HR/LR initiatives and ensuring that local policies and regulations are administered appropriately.
