The J2EE Web Developer position is a critical role within a prominent financial company located in Arlington, VA. This position offers a competitive salary of up to $120K and is a direct hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing J2EE web applications utilizing popular frameworks such as JSF, PrimeFaces, Google Web Toolkit (GWT), and AJAX. Additionally, the developer will be tasked with creating web services using JAX-WS and developing Enterprise JavaBeans (EJBs) on a J2EE Application Server. The role requires proficiency in open-source development tools including Netbeans, Eclipse, JasperReports, PMD, CruiseControl, and CVS. Candidates should possess a minimum of eight years of progressive experience in application systems design and programming. A strong background in application development using object-oriented principles and design patterns is essential. Familiarity with J2EE application servers and hands-on experience with J2EE technologies, particularly JSF, EJB, JDBC, and JMS, is required. The position also demands a working knowledge of Unix, XML, FTP, Oracle, SQL Server, PL/SQL, and web-based technologies such as HTML and CSS. The ability to investigate new technologies and assess their applicability to business needs is crucial, as is being self-directed and results-oriented. A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience is required.
