About the position

The Logistics Associate (Warehouse) position is a full-time role located at 30444 Southwest Freeway, Rosenberg, TX 77471, offering a pay rate of $15 per hour. The primary responsibility of this role is to verify, pack, and manifest orders for shipment, ensuring that all processes are conducted safely and efficiently. The associate will be expected to maintain a clean and orderly work area while adhering to established work rules and safety protocols. This position requires interaction with other employees in a courteous and productive manner, contributing to a positive work environment. In addition to packing and verifying orders, the Logistics Associate will prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports, analyses, records, and databases for their assigned area. They will also be responsible for ensuring that the department meets or exceeds company productivity and quality policies. The role involves using a pallet jack (with in-house training provided) and processing shipments through UPS and FedEx, including assisting in loading and checking out shipments. The associate will be expected to process orders under an average time of 4 minutes and perform any other related duties as required. The work environment is characterized by moderate noise levels, and the physical demands of the job include frequently lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The associate must be able to stand for prolonged periods, bend, stoop, and reach, and possess good manual dexterity and motor coordination. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Regular communication and interaction with team members and supervisors are essential to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

  • Verify, pack, and manifest orders for shipment.
  • Ensure safety within the department is maintained at all times.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports, analysis, records, and databases for assigned area.
  • Ensure that the department meets or exceeds company productivity and quality policy.
  • Interact with other employees in a polite, courteous, and productive manner.
  • Adhere to and enforce established 'Work Rules.'
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly work area.
  • Box items and verify count and correctness of items and lots.
  • Process UPS/FedEx shipping and assist in loading and checking out shipments.
  • Load pallets to FedEx truck.
  • Use pallet jack (in-house training available).
  • Process orders under the average time of 4 minutes.
  • Perform any other duties of a similar or lesser nature as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with hand and power pallet jack.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Windows Operating System.
  • Knowledge of UPS World Ship/FedEx Manager.
  • Familiarity with SAP and iPhone Scanner.
