About the position

The Manager, ESG Governance and Reporting at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is a hybrid role focused on ensuring the integrity of the company's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) disclosures. This position plays a critical role in supporting HPE's compliance with evolving ESG reporting regulations and involves collaboration with various internal teams to manage ESG data and reporting processes. The role requires strong data governance experience and team leadership skills to enhance HPE's capabilities in meeting mandatory ESG reporting requirements globally.

Responsibilities

  • Establish data governance and controls to ensure the integrity of HPE's ESG disclosures.
  • Build capabilities in people, processes, internal controls, and systems to meet mandatory ESG reporting requirements globally.
  • Own the relationship with HPE's ESG auditor and manage the annual audit.
  • Collaborate with ESG specialists to coordinate mandatory ESG-related reporting and manage ESG data, controls, and disclosures.
  • Develop processes to evaluate and implement new reporting requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in data automation, QA/QC, and auditability.
  • Train key employee groups on reporting processes and controls.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree plus at least seven years of experience in data governance, regulated reporting, audit, controllership, or related area.
  • CPA with ESG reporting experience preferred.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Competence with prioritization and execution in complex and ambiguous situations.
  • Exceptional written, presentation, and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with non-financial reporting standards including CSRD, TCFD, GRI, SDGs preferred.
  • Skills in accountability, active learning, coaching, creativity, critical thinking, and data analysis management.
