About the position

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking a Masonry Sales Representative for the Echelon product line, responsible for the overall sales function of masonry products and related accessories. This role is pivotal in maintaining existing business relationships while also generating new leads and business opportunities through research and development efforts, including cold calling. The representative will be tasked with increasing customer orders and developing strong customer relationships, all while providing world-class customer service. The position focuses on maximizing sales of products within the Mobile County, Alabama, and coastal Mississippi markets, contributing to the overall revenue growth of the company. The Masonry Sales Representative will be responsible for maintaining effective relationships with current customers, which is essential for driving increased sales and revenue. This includes identifying and prospecting for new customers, responding urgently to customer needs and inquiries, and identifying potential projects that could utilize masonry products. The representative will also develop and maintain relationships with architects to secure project specifications that lead to future sales opportunities. Collaboration with customers and contractors to devise effective sales strategies is a key component of this role. In addition, the representative will analyze market trends and develop action plans to capitalize on shifts in the market. Weekly preparation of sales projects and prospecting activity reports in SalesForce CRM is required, along with compiling dealer sales data, interpreting buying cycles, and sharing results with production to efficiently plan production schedules. The role also involves identifying, tracking, and quoting projects through SalesForce, quoting prices, credit terms, and preparing sales contracts for orders obtained. Regular communication with customer service and production teams is necessary to share order information regarding lead times and delivery details. Other duties related to the nature of the job may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, training, and education.
  • Five + years related experience managing a multi-million-dollar territory.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • High sense of urgency with entrepreneurial qualities.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel overnight as needed.
  • Must live within the territory boundaries.
