About the position

As a Part-Time Store Associate/Cashier/Stocker at ALDI, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. This position requires you to perform various duties that include cashier responsibilities, stocking shelves, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the store. You will collaborate with team members and communicate relevant information to your direct leader, ensuring that all operations run smoothly. Upholding the security and confidentiality of documents and data within your area of responsibility is essential. You will also be expected to perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the store. In your role as a cashier, you will process customer purchases, perform general cleaning duties, and stock shelves and merchandise displays neatly. Providing exceptional customer service is a key aspect of this position, as you will assist customers with their shopping experience and provide feedback to management on products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general issues. You will participate in taking store inventory counts according to guidelines and monitor inventory for accuracy, adhering to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses. As a stocker, you will be responsible for stocking shelves and rotating products properly to guarantee that fresh products are available for customers. Following merchandising planograms to create excellently merchandised displays is crucial. You will also organize new inventory, remove and break down empty boxes, and operate machinery while following all safety procedures. Store Associates are responsible for both cashier and stocker responsibilities, including assisting with Curbside Shopping orders. This position requires physical demands such as regularly sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking about the store. You will need to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving and place products weighing up to 45 pounds on shelving at various heights. To be successful in this role, you must be at least 18 years of age, possess excellent verbal communication skills, and have the ability to work both independently and within a team environment. Effective time management and knowledge of the products and services offered by ALDI are also important. You will need to comply with state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages and operate equipment safely and properly, including electric/manual hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and cardboard balers.

Nice-to-haves
