About the position

We are currently seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant for our office located in the Chicago Loop. This position is essential for supporting our operations in a fast-paced environment, where proficiency with general computer use is crucial. The majority of your work will be conducted on the computer, and therefore, intermediate to advanced computer knowledge is required. The role demands a high level of organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities, particularly over the phone and via email. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks that include processing incoming mail and emails, preparing and packaging records and cover letters for consultants, generating correspondence and invoices for clients, and managing incoming phone calls. Additionally, you will be tasked with monitoring and managing case and review statuses through effective communication with doctors and attorneys. This position is part-time, with expected hours ranging from 16 to 24 hours per week, and operates Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. As a small but growing Medical-Legal Consulting company founded in 1981, we have a long history of arranging and facilitating medical experts for a wide range of medical-legal issues. Responsibilities
