The Property Maintenance / Caretaker position at Cedar Crest Country Club involves a comprehensive range of responsibilities that require both technical and mechanical skills. The role is essential for the upkeep and maintenance of the property, which includes managing landscaping, operating ranch machinery, and performing various maintenance duties. The caretaker will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of water systems, roads, bridges, recreational areas, and facilities. This position requires a hands-on approach to ensure that all equipment, tools, and machinery are functioning properly and that the property is maintained to high standards. The caretaker will live on-site in a provided residence and will execute required duties during work hours, which may include plumbing and water supply systems maintenance, DEQ water testing, and meter reading. The role also involves operating various ranch equipment such as ATVs, lawn mowers, tractors, and graders to accomplish maintenance tasks. Regular maintenance of grounds and facilities is a key responsibility, including mowing, weed eating, tree trimming, refuse collection, and road maintenance. The caretaker will also coordinate with contractors for specialized maintenance needs and ensure the organization and cleanliness of the shop and common areas. In addition to physical maintenance tasks, the caretaker will monitor security to protect the community from potential threats and maintain records of inventories, expenses, and maintenance schedules. The work environment is primarily outdoors, requiring the ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and humidity.
