About The Position
As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Scoot Education, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with developmental disabilities in various educational settings. This position offers the flexibility to choose your working hours, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life effectively. You will be compensated competitively, earning between $30 to $32 per hour, depending on your experience and the specific assignment. Scoot Education is committed to your professional growth, providing free online training that covers essential topics such as trauma-informed teaching and classroom management. You will also have a dedicated consultant who will assist you throughout your journey, ensuring you receive the support you need to succeed in your role. In this position, you will work closely with students, either one-on-one or in group settings, assisting with various moderate to severe scenarios, including personal care, non-verbal communication, and managing challenging or aggressive behaviors in the classroom. Your responsibilities will include fostering a safe and nurturing learning environment, supporting resource teachers in delivering Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and following directions from lead educators. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special needs and are looking to build their experience in the field of behavioral therapy.
