About the position

As a Retail Associate at Clift's Liquors, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. This part-time position requires a dependable individual who is available to work various hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Your primary responsibility will be to record sales transactions accurately on the cash register while ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers. You will utilize the POS system to handle cash, charge, and check transactions in accordance with store procedures, ensuring that all financial transactions are processed smoothly and efficiently. In addition to handling transactions, you will be responsible for assisting customers with their inquiries and providing stellar assistance as needed. This includes receiving incoming telephone calls, taking accurate messages, and directing calls to the appropriate personnel. You will also attend store meetings and training sessions as requested, which will help you stay informed about store policies and procedures. Balancing the cash drawer and totaling currency sales at the end of each shift is another critical aspect of your role. You will need to report any problems or discrepancies to the Manager promptly. Additionally, you will be diligent in verifying proper identification for age-restricted purchases, ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Other duties may include assisting in stocking shelves, filling coolers, and performing light cleaning tasks to maintain a tidy store environment. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Prior cashier experience preferred.
  • Must have or be willing to get TIPS certification upon hire and prior to first day of work.
  • 2 years of customer service experience preferred.
