About the position

The SecDevOps Lead at Leidos will oversee a diverse team responsible for the continuous operation, maintenance, and security of an intelligence discovery website and application suite for an Intelligence Community customer. This role emphasizes leadership in software development, information security, and automation, ensuring the systems meet operational requirements while maintaining government compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of web developers, application developers, designers, system administrators, information security officers, and help desk specialists.
  • Ensure all applications remain operational on all applicable networks with necessary updates and enhancements.
  • Enhance the efficiency, capability, and interoperability of applications through various programming and administration tasks.
  • Provide full operational and user support to maintain application availability and reliability.
  • Limit planned outages to non-peak hours unless otherwise defined by the government.
  • Enhance and maintain CI/CD and DevOps scripts and processes for faster development and error detection.
  • Utilize back-end technologies to develop a secure and reliable architecture.
  • Implement and maintain security measures in compliance with government regulations.
  • Participate in Agile release planning and other collaborative meetings.
  • Monitor project progress and address technical challenges as needed.
  • Perform software code maintenance to ensure security compliance.
  • Develop and maintain a conceptual data model for multiple intelligence domains.
  • Manage and update authority to operate (ATO) documentation and processes.
  • Provide Tier 1, 2, and 3 help desk support on a schedule that meets enterprise demands.

Requirements

  • Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain a Polygraph.
  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience with 10+ years in software development or related field.
  • Eight plus years of experience with a master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with both front-end technologies/frameworks (e.g., Angular, React) and back-end implementation.
  • Experience with database maintenance (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and familiarity with search technologies (e.g., Elasticsearch, Solr).
  • Experience overseeing operational environments and presenting updates to government leads and partners.
  • Experience in identifying and mitigating issues that pose risks to project priorities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience leading O&M on critical classified systems.
  • Experience managing a technical team through a government ATO process.
