About the position

The Store Lead will play a crucial role in supporting the Store Leadership Team by managing cash-wrap operations, executing opening and closing procedures, and serving as the Leader on Duty (LOD). This position requires a professional demeanor as the Store Lead will represent the brand and engage with customers while maintaining store standards. The Store Lead is expected to foster teamwork and contribute to employee development, ensuring a positive work environment that aligns with the company's values. In this role, the Store Lead will assist in developing talent by training associates and providing in-the-moment coaching. They will partner with the Store Manager to address performance concerns and actively participate in all company training and development initiatives. The Store Lead will assess performance regularly, providing timely feedback and motivation to associates to build brand loyalty and create a welcoming store atmosphere for both customers and staff. The Store Lead will model exceptional customer service behaviors on the sales floor, ensuring high standards are maintained throughout the store. They will support the management team in maximizing productivity through operational knowledge and customer service, while also participating in key store initiatives. As part of the Leader on Duty program, the Store Lead will enhance the customer shopping experience and drive store profitability, all while managing payroll and scheduling based on business needs. Additionally, they will ensure that the stockroom is clean, organized, and efficient, adhering to company policies and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing talent through the training of associates, including giving in-the-moment coaching conversations
  • Partner with Store Manager to address performance concerns with associates
  • Support and participate in all company training and development initiatives
  • Foster a positive work environment and provide direct, objective feedback in a timely manner
  • Assess performance and provide appropriate feedback on a daily basis and during the annual performance review process
  • Motivate and inspire associates to build brand loyalty and create a positive store environment for both internal and external customers
  • Model, encourage, and demonstrate exceptional customer service behaviors while on the sales floor
  • Maintain high standards throughout the store while ensuring the integrity of the brand
  • Represent the company in a professional and positive manner
  • Support the management team to maximize productivity through operational and product knowledge
  • Participate in the Leader on Duty (LOD) program by providing an exceptional customer shopping experience
  • Drive store profitability while leveraging payroll
  • Process payroll weekly
  • Modify schedule based on business climate
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient stockroom, adhering to set policies
  • Ensure Environment (CRE) Standards & Safety requirements are being met

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years previous retail experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Excellent customer engagement skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to give and receive performance-based feedback
