The Warehouse Person (Loader) position at PepsiCo is a labor-intensive role focused on the efficient and accurate loading and unloading of products in a warehouse environment. This position requires strict attention to detail to ensure that outgoing trucks are loaded correctly and that incoming trucks are unloaded efficiently. Employees will work from an electronic order system or order sheets to build loads using a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack. The role involves maintaining a clean and safe work environment while adhering to warehouse instructions for building loads. The position may require working in various weather conditions and the shift duration can vary based on workload, which may lead to longer hours on some days. In this role, the employee will be responsible for transporting truck loads by moving full pallets of products from the warehouse to trailers and unloading returned pallets and plastic flats. The loading process includes selecting designated packages and flavors of products from the warehouse and ensuring the stability of the pallet through proper stacking and shrink-wrapping. The employee will also be tasked with unloading returned products and pallets, ensuring that all operations are conducted safely and efficiently. The position requires lifting a high volume of cases, typically between 20-45 pounds, repeatedly throughout the work period, along with constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping as products are moved.
