This position is located in Philadelphia, PA, and is open for applications until July 3, 2026. The ideal candidates will have expertise in neuroscience, particularly focusing on the mechanisms of neurodevelopmental disorders. Applicants must possess an M.D. and/or Ph.D. or an equivalent degree. The faculty will be part of the BRIDGE, a new center at CHOP that will be housed in a state-of-the-art 350,000 square foot building set to open in 2025. This center is dedicated to understanding normal brain development, neurodevelopmental disorders, neurogenetics, and the preclinical development of therapeutics for various childhood conditions, including epilepsy, developmental delays, autism spectrum disorders, and other neurodegenerative and psychiatric diseases. Teaching responsibilities will include mentoring graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and other trainees, including undergraduates and physician-scientist residents. For candidates with an M.D., there may also be clinical responsibilities involving inpatient and outpatient care for pediatric patients at CHOP. Research responsibilities will involve maintaining an active basic and/or translational research program. Successful candidates will demonstrate prior scholarly activity and productivity, with a strong publication record in neuroscience-related fields such as neurodevelopment, electrophysiology, imaging, molecular biology, and neuroengineering. A competitive startup package will be provided, and candidates are expected to secure extramural grant funding.
