About the position
The Clinical Dietitian PRN at Medical City Sachse is responsible for coordinating patient nutritional care under the supervision of the Director of Food and Nutrition Services. This role emphasizes a commitment to service, safety, and professionalism to ensure the best patient experience. The Clinical Dietitian will work as part of the Nutrition Support Team, collaborating with pharmacists and physicians to provide comprehensive nutritional assessments and education to patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide nutritional screenings and assessments of patients.
- Educate patients on therapeutic diets.
- Inform Aide staff about allowed and disallowed patient foods based on prescribed diets.
- Document patient tolerance, appropriateness, and response to nutritional support, making recommendations as necessary.
Requirements
- Commission Dietetic Registration required.
- Licensed Dietician must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
