The Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at the University of Louisville School of Medicine is seeking an adult cardiac surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The successful candidate will be expected to perform the full spectrum of adult cardiac surgery procedures, demonstrating expertise and commitment to excellence in clinical care. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible and must also be eligible for licensure in Kentucky. A strong commitment to clinical excellence, teaching, and research is essential for this role. The Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery is composed of five divisions: Pediatric Cardiac Surgery, General Thoracic Surgery, Adult Cardiac Surgery, Cardiovascular Critical Care, and Cardiovascular Research. The department also offers a traditional three-year ACGME-accredited cardiac training program, providing a robust educational environment for residents.
