About The Position

The Academic Program Manager III at Nova Southeastern University is responsible for planning, directing, supervising, and coordinating work activities of subordinates and staff. This includes hiring, coaching, evaluating, and terminating staff in compliance with university policies and procedures. The role involves consulting with government regulatory and licensing agencies to ensure the institution's conformance with applicable standards, representing the institution at community and campus events, and assisting in activities required for program accreditation. The manager will also review operating practices and procedures to identify areas for improvement, establish operational policies, assess program quality, and maintain accurate student records. Additionally, the position requires participation in budget preparation, collaboration with faculty and administrators, and planning of career and employment-related programs and events.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in academic program management or related student service function.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, directs, supervises, and coordinates work activities of subordinates and staff.
  • Consults with government regulatory and licensing agencies.
  • Represents institution and/or assigned program(s) at community and campus events.
  • Assists in activities required for program accreditation.
  • Reviews operating practices and procedures for improvements.
  • Establishes operational policies and procedures.
  • Assesses program quality and presents results to management.
  • Maintains accurate and complete student records.
  • Participates in budget preparation and reporting.
  • Prepares special ad hoc reports and summaries.
  • Collaborates with faculty and administrators in program development.
  • Determines course schedules and coordinates teaching assignments.
  • Acts as liaison between students, faculty, and departments.
  • Plans and promotes career and employment-related programs.
  • Assists marketing with program development and recruitment.
  • Assists with alumni tracking and communication activities.
  • Plans special events and/or Continuing Education functions.
  • Coordinates the production of university publications.
  • Maintains or monitors departmental and/or program websites.
  • Assists in the recruitment and supervision of student employees.
  • Attends meetings, educational conferences, and training workshops.
  • Maintains data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.
