About the position

Salem Media New York is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Media Strategist to join our sales and marketing team. This role is ideal for a digitally-savvy sales professional who is highly motivated and eager to make an impact in the media landscape. As a Media Strategist, you will be responsible for selling a variety of multi-media marketing solutions, which include digital, broadcast, and event marketing, primarily targeting businesses in the New York area, but also extending to a national audience. In this position, you will engage in proactive prospecting to identify and connect with qualified local and regional businesses. Your primary focus will be on reaching decision-makers, setting meetings, and conducting thorough analyses of client needs. You will be tasked with creating and delivering compelling and strategic advertising presentations that effectively address the objectives of your clients. A key aspect of your role will involve accurately projecting revenues and consistently meeting or exceeding monthly budgets across all product lines, with the goal of overachieving annual budgets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of exceeding sales goals in the digital media space. You should possess strong skills in prospecting, client needs discovery, marketing plan creation, presenting, and closing deals. A thorough knowledge of various digital products and applications is essential, including Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Audience and Search Retargeting, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Social Media Management and Marketing, Digital (Programmatic) Display, Website Development, Live Chat, Email Marketing, and Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising, among others.
