About the position

Salem Media Oxnard is seeking a highly motivated and digitally-savvy Media Strategist to join our dynamic sales and marketing team. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for individuals who are passionate about multimedia marketing solutions, including digital, broadcast, and events. The Media Strategist will primarily focus on the Oxnard area but will also engage with clients on a national level. The role requires a proactive approach to sales, where the individual will be responsible for prospecting qualified local and regional businesses, reaching out to decision-makers, and setting up meetings to discuss their marketing needs. In this role, you will analyze client needs and create compelling and strategic advertising presentations that effectively address their objectives. You will be expected to accurately project revenues and meet or exceed monthly budgets across all product lines, ultimately aiming to overachieve annual budgets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of exceeding sales goals in the digital media landscape and will possess a thorough understanding of various digital products and applications. As a Media Strategist, you will utilize your proficiency in prospecting, client needs discovery, marketing plan creation, presenting, and closing deals. Your knowledge of digital marketing tools such as Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Social Media Management, Digital Display Advertising, Website Development, Live Chat, Email Marketing, and Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising will be crucial to your success in this position.
