About the position

Salem Media Oxnard is seeking a highly motivated and digitally-savvy sales professional to join our dynamic sales and marketing team as a Media Strategist. In this role, you will be responsible for selling a variety of multimedia marketing solutions, which include digital, broadcast, and event marketing, primarily targeting businesses in the Oxnard area, but also extending to a national audience. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for individuals who are passionate about media sales and are eager to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment. As a Media Strategist, your primary responsibilities will include prospecting for qualified local and regional businesses, reaching out to decision-makers, setting meetings, and analyzing client needs. You will be tasked with creating and delivering compelling and strategic advertising presentations that effectively address client objectives. Your ability to accurately project revenues and meet or exceed monthly budgets for all product lines will be crucial to your success in this role. Additionally, you will be expected to overachieve on annual budgets, demonstrating your commitment to driving results and contributing to the overall success of the company. To excel in this position, you should have a proven track record of exceeding sales goals in the digital media landscape. Proficiency in prospecting, client needs discovery, marketing plan creation, presenting, and closing deals is essential. A thorough knowledge of various digital products and applications, including Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Audience and Search Retargeting, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Social Media Management and Marketing, Digital (Programmatic) Display, Website Development, Live Chat, Email Marketing, and Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising, will be critical in helping you meet client needs and drive sales.
