About the position

This position is integral to the Select Accounts division, which offers a wide array of competitive products and coverages tailored for small businesses, including the Business Owner's Policy (BOP) that provides essential property and liability coverage. The Account Executive will partner with agents to deliver comprehensive insurance solutions that meet the diverse needs of small businesses, ranging from Main Street retailers to small manufacturers and property owners. In this role, the Account Executive will be responsible for underwriting and skillfully negotiating property and casualty accounts, ensuring that risk is minimized while maximizing profitability. This involves applying the appropriate level of underwriting analysis based on the complexity of the risk to make informed decisions about accepting, declining, modifying, or quoting accounts. Regular in-person meetings will be essential for marketing and selling Travelers products, with the goal of writing and retaining accounts that align with the company's risk appetite.
