About the position

The Account General Manager at Gainwell is a senior principal role responsible for overall contract management and serving as the primary contact for the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS). This position focuses on cultivating client relationships, developing innovative solutions to meet client needs, and leading a cross-functional team to ensure the delivery of exceptional service and financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate client relationships and act as a trusted advisor and thought leader.
• Develop a client-centered innovation agenda to engage with clients on their business needs and goals.
• Meet and exceed contractual commitments through innovative solutions.
• Grow the business by understanding client needs and aligning them with Gainwell's unique value.
• Lead, guide, mentor, and develop the team.
• Manage the financial quality of the account.

Requirements

• Five years of extensive managerial and program administrative experience, including management functions such as systems development, program planning, and fiscal management.
• Three years of effective communication, organization, and prioritization skills with proven ability to motivate the workforce.
• Five years of experience managing a healthcare contract with a government or private sector healthcare payer.
• Two years of knowledge of Medicaid and/or Medicare statutes, regulations, policies, and standards.
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration/Management, or Finance from an accredited institution, with the possibility of substituting experience for education.
