About the position

Momentum Worldwide is looking for a driven Account Manager to be a key member of the Business Leadership team in support of a global retail client. In this role you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of omnichannel initiatives enabling meaningful connections for the client's vast customer base. This role will be based near our client's Headquarters and will be required to report to their office a few days a week. You will be the day-to-day point person for the client and external partners, and will be responsible for pushing forward the vision and strategy for the projects you are leading. We're looking for a highly motivated self-starter who is comfortable working independently. We're looking for someone who is detail oriented and highly organized as you'll be developing and leading key operational processes. The ideal candidate excels at creating and actively maintaining relationships, is a strong communicator, consistently strives to identify and solve client business challenges, and can provide guidance to junior team members. This individual also has experience in the CPG industry and/or the Retail industry, and the experiential space is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day management of the client's business and internal team, managing relationships and expectations in accordance with agency philosophy
  • Actively forge and maintain relationships to deliver exceptional client service to our client and a variety of our client's partners (brands)
  • Manage the development and execution of concurrent experiential programs and omnichannel initiatives
  • Establish effective relationships across agency multi-disciplinary teams at the mid-to-senior level, working cross-functionally to solicit and convey all necessary information in a timely manner, ensure brand strategy and objectives are being met, and troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Managing day-to-day communication with internal and external partners and scheduling client owned programming
  • Management of weekly client internal newsletter - ideation, build out and leading content collection from partners
  • Attend and contribute to client presentations, providing clear set-up and understanding of workstreams as key active member of business leadership team
  • Possess full knowledge of agency's offerings, mission, and vision
  • Travel to support experiences as primary client contact on the ground as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 4+ years of relevant marketing experience in the CPG industry and/or retail
  • Agency experience, in particular in the live events industry, with solid understanding of agency processes, department functions and workflow
  • Demonstrated ability to develop & manage strong client relationships and lead external partners within an IAT setting
  • Proven success in managing internal partners through process, particularly within a creative environment
  • Highly organized and calm under pressure, with ability to be flexible, multi-task and react in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, resourceful, proactive, and solutions-oriented
  • Strong writing and communication skills with ability to communicate points-of-view succinctly, thoroughly, and confidently both in writing and verbally
  • Self-starter and resourceful, with a proven ability to 'get-the-job-done', whatever it takes
  • Strong budget creation and management skills, with the ability to deliver within/under assigned budget, and hold teams accountable to tracking and reporting
  • Effective project management and prioritization skillset, particularly on large projects with many moving parts
  • Detail oriented - ability to manage and update clients entire event calendar across all workstreams
  • Knowledge and experience with tools like Smartsheet, Airtable or other process and workflow flow tools a plus
  • Polished, professional demeanor, projects confidence and enthusiasm for the business
  • Travel as required by Client/Agency team
