About the position

PACE Supply is seeking a motivated and results-oriented Account Manager / Outside Sales professional to join our Southern California Plumbing Division. This role involves managing a portfolio of established clients, fostering long-term customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities to drive sales growth. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering value to customers by leveraging product expertise, competitive pricing, and outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Expand sales by building strong relationships with key stakeholders at PACE Supply and within assigned accounts.
• Develop and maintain lasting partnerships with customers in the assigned territory while proactively seeking opportunities to engage and onboard new clients.
• Stay up-to-date on market conditions, trends, and customer needs to inform strategy and strengthen relationships.
• Partner with management, branch employees, and peers to establish a network of support and drive mutual success.
• Conduct customer-facing sales calls on assigned customer list with regular intervals.
• Articulate the organization's value proposition and educate customers on how to differentiate from competitors.
• Manage time and schedules to best serve customers and follow up on all job quotes for customers.
• Maintain regular communications with internal divisions and look for opportunities for cross-divisional selling.
• Manage communication between customer and vendor partners.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, some college course work preferred; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum experience of 3 years in the plumbing industry, ideally 5 years' experience with 2 years of inside plumbing sales.
• Strong communication skills and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Phocas Dashboards and Zoom.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
