About the position

As a Sales Account Manager at CK Supply, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer retention through relationship building and a commitment to excellence in the industrial gases and welding consumables market. This position involves selling a diverse portfolio of products to various industries, including Fabrication, Food/Beverage, Pharmaceuticals, and Chemicals, while leading all aspects of the sales process from prospecting to contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage existing customer accounts and relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Develop new business opportunities by selling products and services to new and competitive accounts.
  • Implement strategies to enhance value-added processes and services.
  • Expand sales territory in alignment with company goals.
  • Gather and analyze data for assigned accounts and prospects.
  • Monitor accounts receivable status and report to the credit manager.
  • Provide weekly sales and prospect itineraries to the General Manager.
  • Coordinate pricing discussions and quotes with management.
  • Engage in cold calling and direct marketing follow-ups to generate new business leads.
  • Attend industry-related association meetings and required sales meetings.
  • Represent CK Supply professionally in the assigned territory and adhere to safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably in the industrial or welding sector.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a competitive market and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Understanding of business concepts such as gross margin, ROA, ROI, and NIBT.
  • Comfortable in a value-added solution-selling environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the industrial gases or welding consumables industry.
  • Familiarity with technical applications in sales.
