About the position

The Account Manager - Sales/Business Development role at Carrier involves managing existing accounts and generating new business within the Energy Services and Energy Management sectors. This remote position requires a strong understanding of Enterprise Account Management and the ability to build successful relationships with senior management in large organizations. The role emphasizes customer engagement, innovative problem-solving, and driving growth through tailored solutions for Fortune 500 companies.

Responsibilities

  • Own the sales process from prospecting, reach out, negotiating and closing large multi-year contracts.
  • Prospect and close deals with Fortune 500 companies based on the organization's focus list.
  • Engage senior management on the customer side to understand their needs and present tailored solutions.
  • Work with engineering and presales teams to customize solutions and engage customers in a consultative manner.
  • Collaborate with facilities, Energy, Procurement, and Legal teams in the customer organization during negotiation and contracting processes.
  • Provide weekly sales reports and detailed account plans on top pursuits.
  • Work with internal functions to strategize account pursuits and solution development for specific key accounts.
  • Ability to work with global teams in various time zones.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Account Management and new business development experience in Energy Management / Energy Services.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5 years of experience in engaging senior management with demos and new technology.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

  • Self-driven and willing to learn and talk technology, data science, and analytics.
  • Able to work occasional late evening / early morning (primarily team calls).
  • AI, IOT, and EMS experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with building automation systems.
