About the position

The Account Manager role at The Select Group focuses on building and maintaining relationships with enterprise clients in the Utilities industry. This position is responsible for understanding client needs, developing partnerships, and driving business growth through effective account management and sales strategies. The role requires a consultative approach to align TSG's Managed Solutions with client objectives, ensuring a positive impact on their technology priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead virtual and in-person meetings to understand customer needs and share TSG's capabilities.
  • Develop partnerships within client accounts through regular meetings and relationship-building events.
  • Generate sales leads and conduct cold-calling to prospective clients.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of customers' strategic initiatives and proactively work with them on business objectives.
  • Identify new opportunities to sell TSG's Managed Solutions.
  • Collaborate with Solution Development & Service Delivery teams to craft solutions for clients.
  • Partner with onshore delivery and engagement teams to identify technical resources for client needs.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and technology trends to enhance consultative approaches.

Requirements

  • Business development and professional selling experience in the Utilities industry is highly preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience selling Technical Services such as Managed Services, Professional Services, and/or IT Staffing Services.
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding objectives and quotas.
  • Successful experience with new account development or large account management.
  • Proven prospecting and sales cycle management skills.
  • High levels of social perceptiveness and client experience.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience.
