Accounting Intern

About the position

We are looking for an ambitious team member to serve as a Summer Accounting Intern to provide support to the Finance and Accounting department by managing daily accounting tasks. You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company's finances. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail. The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition. This way it can make the right decisions and accomplish long term success.

Responsibilities

• Assist in financial data entry and record keeping
• Support financial analysis by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data
• Aid in budgeting and forecasting processes
• Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate financial information
• Assist in reconciling financial discrepancies
• Provide support for day-to-day financial discrepancies
• Research and stay informed about industry trends and regulations
• Assist with SOX controls compliance
• Undertake ad-hoc tasks as directed by finance team

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science or Business Administration program in Accounting, Finance, or Business with an accredited college or university.
