About the position

The Accounting Specialist position at Bead Industries, Inc. is a part-time role focused on managing accounts payable and accounts receivable within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting, particularly in AR/AP, and will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and supporting the management team with various administrative tasks. This role offers flexibility in work hours while requiring a commitment to accuracy and detail in financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software.
  • Process accounts payable (AP) by entering and paying vendor invoices.
  • Manage accounts receivable (AR), including invoicing customers and following up on outstanding payments.
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Manage general office duties, e.g., answering phones, handling mail, ordering supplies, and maintaining office equipment.
  • Provide administrative support to the management team, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and handling correspondence.
  • Oversee office organization and cleanliness, ensuring a productive and efficient work environment.
  • Assist with HR tasks, i.e., onboarding new employees, maintaining employee records, and coordinating company events.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in accounting, specifically in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping principles and practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical skills with a quantitative mindset.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and HR functions.
